1 Works when placed in the immediate vicinity of a T3 smoke detector when alarm sounds in a quiet environment for longer than 15 seconds. Modern smoke detectors sold in the United States and Canada emit a T3 pattern. CabinPulse will not detect older, continuous style alarms.
2 An onboard MOX sensor is used to monitor different gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in the air. CabinPulse uses a proprietary algorithm from Bosch to determine a measure of Indoor Air Quality (IAQ).
3 CabinPulse is not a replacement for smoke/fire monitoring and should not be relied upon for life safety. Alarm Detection is for informational purposes only. Your privacy is protected; CabinPulse devices do not have the ability to store or transmit any audio data. No! The CabinPulse subscription covers everything. The cellular connectivity is completely built-in to the device, and there are no cellular data plans or WiFi required.
Once you receive your device, login to your CabinPulse dashboard, enter the activation code on your device, and plug it into a power outlet. It will immediately begin monitoring!
CabinPulse uses LTE with 3G fallback for areas without 3G; if there's any cell coverage, it will usually connect.
If you're unsure of coverage in your area, check the coverage maps from major carriers in your area for LTE or 3G.
The one-time $199 device fee covers your CabinPulse monitoring unit, which includes temperature, humidity, air quality, power outage detection capabilities and smoke alarm detection.
If you'd like to monitor multiple cabins or spaces, you can purchase additional devices for each location and manage them all from the same account using Fleet View. Each device requires its own subscription.
CabinPulse collects data every 5 minutes and transmits every 15 minutes. You can also request real-time updates on-demand from your dashboard, and alerts for critical issues are sent instantly.
You'll receive instant alerts via text and email for any critical issues detected by your CabinPulse device. You can customize the alert thresholds and choose which alerts you'd like to receive.
You can set unlimited Standard Alerts, and set an Instant Alert for a high and low for each monitored metric.
The CabinPulse device is designed to be plugged into a power outlet. However, it does have a backup battery that lasts up to 3 days in case of prolonged power outages.
The CabinPulse device is extremely energy efficient and uses about as much electricity as running your microwave for 60s - in an entire month!.
An onboard acoustic sensor can recognize the distinct pattern of modern North American smoke alarms. Must be placed in close proximity to the detector and works best in an otherwise quiet environment.
We store data captured from your device for as long as your subscription is active. If you choose to not renew your subscription, your data will be stored for up to 30 days before being deleted.
CabinPulse is intended to be used indoors only, but can be used in unheated buildings. Note that it is rated to continue functioning from -20°C to 60°C (-4°F to 140°F) while plugged into power; its onboard battery life is significantly diminished in cold temperatures.
The CabinPulse device comes with a 3-year warranty. If you experience any issues, contact our support team for troubleshooting or a replacement.
