Use Case

CabinPulse sends immediate alerts when power goes out at your property - and again when it's restored. Peace of mind, wherever you are.

The CabinPulse device, its status light lit
  • No WiFi needed

Key Features

The power goes out at 2am. You find out at 2am.

A building loses power and nothing announces it. The heat stops, the freezer starts thawing, and the pipes begin a countdown — none of it visible until somebody drives out. CabinPulse texts you the moment the mains drop, and again when they come back.

CabinPulse power outage alert

Instant Outage Detection

Know within seconds when power goes out at your property, not hours or days later.

3-Day Battery Backup

Built-in battery keeps CabinPulse monitoring and alerting for up to 72 hours during outages.

Outage Duration Tracking

See exactly how long each outage lasted with detailed historical data.

Power Restoration Alerts

Get notified when power comes back on so you know your property is safe.

Cellular Connectivity

Works without WiFi or internet - perfect for remote cabins and properties.

Outage History

Review past power outages to understand your property's power reliability.

What it watches

Every sensor you need is built right into CabinPulse — nothing to add, wire or install.

Temperature

Get a text as soon as the temperature drops toward freezing, in time to do something before a pipe bursts.

Power

Know the moment the power goes out. It is usually the first sign that something else is about to go wrong.

Humidity

Damp builds into mould and mildew over a season. Catch it while it is still a small job.

Air quality

Tracks CO2, VOCs and overall air quality, so you know when the air has gone bad in a closed-up building.

No WiFi needed.

Cellular is included and unlimited, on all major networks worldwide. Your property needs no internet at all.

It keeps working in a power outage.

Smart thermostats and WiFi sensors go down with the router. CabinPulse has its own battery and cellular for two to three days.

When something's wrong

Alerts by text message and email

There is an app, and it works on your phone, tablet or computer. But once your alerts are set up you don't need to open it — CabinPulse messages you when something changes.

What actually goes wrong when the power drops

The heat goes with it.

Electric heat stops immediately, and a gas furnace still needs electricity for its blower and controls. In winter the outage and the freeze are the same event.

The freezer thaws quietly.

A full freezer holds for a day or so and then everything in it is a loss — and unless somebody was told, nobody knows to check whether it refroze before they arrived.

The well pump stops.

No power means no water. On a system with a pressure tank the first sign is often a tap that runs dry long after the outage itself has ended.

The monitor goes down with the power.

Anything reporting over the router stops reporting the moment the router loses power, which is precisely the moment you needed it to speak up.

Why most outage monitors miss the outage

The common approach is a WiFi plug or a smart-home sensor that pings a server. Both share one flaw: they need mains power and a working router to tell you that the mains power and the router have gone.

An outage monitor that goes offline during an outage is a monitor you find out about afterwards.

What it is not

CabinPulse tells you the mains have gone and when they come back. It is not a generator, a UPS or a transfer switch, and it will not keep anything else running — its battery powers the device and its cellular connection, nothing more.
