Key Features

Everything that can go wrong at an empty cabin.

Temperature, power, humidity and air quality, from one device on one plug. No hub, no wiring, and no internet needed at the property — just a message when any of it moves outside the range you set.

Remote cabin monitored by CabinPulse

Temperature Monitoring

Monitor indoor temperature with ±0.2°C precision and get alerts when it drops or rises unexpectedly.

Power Outage Detection

Know immediately when power goes out so you can protect your property from heating failures.

Humidity Tracking

Monitor humidity levels to prevent mold, mildew, and moisture damage in your property.

Air Quality Monitoring

Track indoor air quality and VOCs to ensure your property stays healthy between visits.

No WiFi Needed

Cellular is built in and included, so CabinPulse works at cabins with no internet at all. There is nothing to join and nothing to configure.

Add-On Sensors

Expand monitoring with optional leak sensors and temperature sensors for outbuildings.

What it watches

Every sensor you need is built right into CabinPulse — nothing to add, wire or install.

Temperature

Get a text as soon as the temperature drops toward freezing, in time to do something before a pipe bursts.

Power

Know the moment the power goes out. It is usually the first sign that something else is about to go wrong.

Humidity

Damp builds into mould and mildew over a season. Catch it while it is still a small job.

Air quality

Tracks CO2, VOCs and overall air quality, so you know when the air has gone bad in a closed-up building.

No WiFi needed.

Cellular is included and unlimited, on all major networks worldwide. Your property needs no internet at all.

It keeps working in a power outage.

Smart thermostats and WiFi sensors go down with the router. CabinPulse has its own battery and cellular for two to three days.

When something's wrong

Alerts by text message and email

There is an app, and it works on your phone, tablet or computer. But once your alerts are set up you don't need to open it — CabinPulse messages you when something changes.

What actually goes wrong at a cabin nobody is at

The heat fails in February.

A pilot light goes out, a breaker trips, the propane runs dry. The building cools from the inside with nothing to mark the moment it started.

A pipe lets go and runs for weeks.

Water escapes at mains pressure and keeps escaping. Whether that is a plumbing bill or a rebuild comes down to how long it ran before anyone knew.

Damp turns into mould over a season.

No leak, no flood — just a closed building through a humid summer, holding what comes in until the walls and soft furnishings have taken it up.

You find all of it on the first trip of spring.

Every one of these is cheap to deal with on the day it starts and expensive by the time somebody opens the door in May.

How it compares to the usual arrangements

Most cabins are watched one of two ways: somebody nearby agrees to look in, or a smart-home kit is wired to whatever internet the property has.

Asking someone to look in works right up until the week they cannot go. The point of monitoring is that the answer stops depending on anybody making the drive.

What it is not

CabinPulse is an unmonitored reporting tool. Nobody watches your readings and nobody is dispatched. It is not a security system, a fire alarm or a carbon monoxide detector, and it cannot heat the building or shut off the water — it tells you what is happening, early enough that you can call somebody who can.

Setting it up

Setup in 60 seconds.

As soon as you connect it to power, it starts monitoring.

  1. 1

    Plug it in

Any outlet, anywhere in the building. The cord is long on purpose, and the included wall mount is there if you want it.

  2. 2

    It finds its own signal

Cellular is included and unlimited, on all major networks worldwide.

  3. 3

    Start monitoring

Set your alerts, add anyone else who should be notified, and view your readings any time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will CabinPulse work at my remote cabin?

CabinPulse works anywhere with cellular coverage from major carriers like Bell, Telus, Rogers, Vidéotron, SaskTel, AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile. It connects over cellular only, so no WiFi is needed at the property and there is nothing to join or configure.

What happens if the power goes out?

You'll receive an instant alert when power goes out. CabinPulse keeps monitoring on its backup battery for two to three days, and alerts you again when power is restored.

Can I monitor multiple properties?

Yes — add a second CabinPulse and both show up in the app. If you are managing many properties for work, our sister product Canaro is built for that.

How do I set up CabinPulse?

Just plug CabinPulse into any outlet and activate it from the dashboard. It connects automatically - no complicated setup required.
